There are two kinds. Panel roofs are long sheets of steel with raised seams. They suit ranch homes, farmhouses, shops and barns. Stone-coated steel is made in smaller pieces with a stone finish, so it looks like wood shake, tile or shingles.
Metal is for people who plan to stay. We will price it next to shingles, in writing, so you can see the gap and decide.

It comes by email or link, with dated photos and anything we found circled. It is free and it is yours to keep. If your roof is fine, the report says so.

Is a metal roof loud in the rain?
On a house, with a solid deck and underlayment below it, most people say it is close to a shingle roof. An open barn roof is a different story.
Does a metal roof make the house hotter?
No. Metal reflects a lot of the sun’s heat, and light colors reflect the most.
How much more is metal than shingles?
More up front, and the gap depends on the roof and the panel. We price both in writing.
Can hail dent a metal roof?
Large hail can leave marks on some panels. Ask us which panels carry a Class 4 impact rating, the top one.
